It broke top 10 on the New Music Weekly charts just before the end of the year and is still climbing. It followed that momentum and success by breaking into the top 80 on the Music Row Charts jumping over 140 spots in the first 9 weeks. It has already seen close to 300k streams across all the major digital channels.

"Stylistically, J.
The track opens with a mellow introduction that leads into a beautiful melody supported by a creamy blend of acoustic guitar and pedal steel heightened by electric guitar licks, drum kicks and subtle cymbal washes. J. Marcâs impassioned yet simplistic vocal delivery paints the heartfelt imagery of the painful regret in letting go.

The song is about supporting the one you love to chase their dreams, learning to let go and fighting your own heart in the right decision to do so,â said J. Marc Bailey.

I think all three of us each had our moments of doing a bit of a gut check during the process lol! It speaks to that feeling of uncertainty about the future but not being willing to stay put and live with the regret of what might have been.

Founded by Jon Gossett in 2014, The Lifeâs Worth Living Foundation, a Utah based 501c3, was created with a three-fold mission; to raise awareness, educate and prevent suicide.

âIt all started in Tooele, Utah, back in February 2014 when three young men lost their lives to suicide. While visiting with a family member of one of these young men, the conversations kept returning to the same questions. âWhat could I have done differently? What could I have done to save him?â It was during this conversation that we agreed that something should be done to raise awareness and prevent this unspeakable sadness from happening to others. That some good should come from these heartbreaking events. That we could ultimately play a small part in becoming a blessing to others. It was with this goal in mind that the Lifeâs Worth Living Foundation came to be,â says Jon Gossett.

Hosted by KBULL93, the event will kick-off at 7 p.m. with special guests and Nashville recording artists Jeneen Terrana, Mourning Farm Report and Cole Bailey. J. Marc Bailey Presents: I Can't Stop You

Singer J. Marc Bailey recently announced the release of an outstanding new single: âI Canât Stop You.âÂ

RADIO RELEASE DATE: SEPTEMBER 3rd, 2021

This particular song was actually set for release to radio in March 2020. With the world coming to a grinding halt due to COVID-19 it has made life pretty tough for people in general and itâs certainly been a major downer for musicians and artists with many of them unable to perform or get their music out there. However, J. Marc managed to stay active writing and recording and now decided to release this song this year with it being the follow up single to âUnbroken,â which is also available on radio, satellite and the vast majority of digital streaming platforms, to great critical and public acclaim.

The song begins with a mellow introduction. The acoustic guitar has a bright, heavenly sound, which lets you feel the strumming attack of the pick, but without giving the part any harshness whatsoever. The sound is so balanced and direct, with a robust low end, but at the same time, a lot of string attack. This is really the kind of acoustic guitar sound that you want from a country-rock album! At the same time, the beautiful lead melody features a creamy overdriven sound, with some nice bends that almost remind the audience of a lap steel guitar, but with a bluesier touch. In addition to that, the drumbeat is steady, serving as the backbone to the song, and giving the track a more natural and powerful feel, with a bit of a pop-rock twist.

J. Marc is a talented vocalist who knows how to express himself to the fullest. His style makes me think of artists as diverse as Keith Urban, as well as Slaid Cleaves, Brad Paisley, just to name a few of his peers in modern country music.

This song could almost be defined as a âpower ballad.â It has some truly amazing bridges that take the vibe to a more intimate place, but the choruses are really huge, almost aiming for that stadium-sized vibe that you would expect from an arena rock band. The electric guitar, in particular, brings a lot of size to the hooks, with big suspended chords, matching the drums as they become more intense, with some nice cymbal washes and flourishes.

All in all, this song is an amazing piece of modern country, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to any fan of this genre and beyond. The song clocks in at slightly under the 4-minute mark, and in doing so, it feels like a perfectly executed composition. Every part is performed with mastery and with passion, highlighting the perfect balance between technical chops and emotional delivery. This is yet another fantastic addition to J. Marcâs songbook, and it could serve as an amazing introduction to him as an artist, especially if you are not familiar with his music.

To conclude, it is safe to say that J. Marc definitely managed to set the bar higher with this release and achieve something quite special. âI Canât Stop Youâ comes across as a very personal song, which feels like a perfect demonstration of J. Marcâs heartfelt and genuine personality. As an artist, he strikes me as the kind of performer who is often on the lookout for ways to innovate his sound, settling for nothing but the absolute best in terms of quality, on a quest to further redefine his feel and tone.

Technically speaking, the recording, mixing, and mastering of this song are absolutely flawless, and as a studio geek myself, I always like to focus on this particular aspect when I am listening to new music. Sure, production is not everything, but to me, an artist who creates well-produced songs as J. Marc does is kind of an assurance of quality and credibility. âI Canât Stop Youâ would have probably sounded amazing as a rough demo recorded from a phone, but the fact that the track features such a layered and nicely polished (but never âover-polishedâ) production goes a long way in showing how seriously J. Marc takes his music and his listeners. The production craft on this release, the quality, and the clarity of the recording definitely adds to the listening experience, giving the track a lot of depth and dimension. It almost feels like you are right there in the music when you listen to it on a good set of speakers or with your favorite headphones!

As always, let the music speak for itself! Do not miss out on âI Canât Stop Youâ and other excellent releases from this talented recording artist. Click here to stream it on your favorite platform.Â

J. Marc Bailey Faces The Future "Unbroken"

J. Marc Bailey has had an interesting ride so far. He first appeared on these pages back in February of this year when we featured his single âOnce a Cowboy.â The song was one of many highlights from a remarkably productive and successful year for the Country crooner. 2020 saw a dozen singles from the Nashville, Tennessee songwriter. The tremendous output marked a comeback of sorts for Bailey and it is a wave he is still riding high.

In the early 2000âs Marc launched the first phase of his music career. He had a hit record and was rubbing shoulders on stage with the likes of Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert and many more. Then he took a step back from center stage and lived life. He worked behind the scenes in the music business and spent quality time with his family. The spotlight eventually beckoned him back. However, with 15 more years under his belt he had learned a few lessons about music and life.

Thatâs where âUnbrokenâ comes in. Marcâs latest single is one with origins in those early years. However, like the singer himself, the song has grown deeper roots and taken on a wiser view of the world. Lyrically âUnbrokenâ takes a look back at the storms the singer has weathered over time, and looks ahead to the unknown with a learned resolve. Itâs a song about getting older, but not about getting old. Itâs about appreciating the ride and taking a little pride in making it this far. Marc explains that in its original incarnation the song came from a place of angry defiance. But now, there is more nuance to his message.

"For me this final version of the song is more about how we all stray from the correct path, I have lost my way plenty of times but in the end itâs about fighting back, loving without limits, trying hard to do whatâs right, standing strong and coming out the other side⊠UNBROKENâ. - J.
Musically âUnbrokenâ is a warm organic Nashville mix. Over a mellow bass, drum and acoustic guitar rhythm track Marc trades lines with a smooth lap steel, melodic mandolin and some really slick Country/Blues electric guitar. At the heart of the tune is the cool confidence of Baileyâs classic Country tenor delivering the wisdom of a man with a long road behind him and plenty more ahead.

âUnbrokenâ is at radio now and picking up spins across the nation. Call your favorite Country station and request âUnbrokenâ by J. Marc Bailey.

Some years back we recorded a Christmas album of some of my favorite songs along with a couple originals. New Take On An Old Song - "Could I Do It Right"

When the decision was made to re-record this song and add it to the album last minute I was both hesitant and excited. This song really means a lot to me, it was one that I had hoped would have been released as a follow up single to "Just To Hang Around" years ago and it holds a lot of bitter sweet memories. I wrote it together with my brother and one of his friends and it's always been a favorite of mine to perform live.

I love this new take on the song, the slower pace and open arrangement allows space for the lyric and emotion. It will be available for download and streaming soon but you can hear it in it's entirety here before the official release just click on the following YouTube link.

I've also attached an acoustic songwriter's cut of the song which won't be available anywhere else.

Sending love and wishing everyone safety and peace.

New Music! "Bring The Love Back" Duet with Jeneen Terrana

I love this song! My good friend and fellow artist, Jeneen Teranna wrote it and when she sent it to me and asked if I'd be interested in doing it as a duet I was blown away. The idea for doing a duet together came last August when I had a show at a venue called "Rider's In The Country" just outside Ashboro, NC. It was the annual Conquer Entertainment after party and we had Abby Kasch from the previous season of The Voice there performing as well. The night before the show some of our mutual friends were hanging out and Jeneen and I started jammin' out some acoustic songs together, I always knew she was an amazing lead vocalist but I was so impressed with how effortless she made it seem to nail harmonies almost instantly singing together with me. After just a couple songs I asked if she wanted to come do the show with me the following night, needless to say it was an awesome experience and we had a great time on stage. Since then we have been able to perform together at several songwriter nights in Nashville as well as track this duet at Soundstage Studios and work on getting it ready for release. Here is the YouTube video as well as a link to a free download of the Pre-Release Mix which I know you are gonna love :)

I hope everyone had a great 2019 and has some fond memories of the year. I'm so looking forward to 2020 and I really hope this coming year will be something special. I wanted to announce that we have decided on "I Can't Stop You" from the upcoming EP as the radio single, it's being schedule for official release late January / Early February! We have been working on two versions of the song and are not sure which one will be chosen for the release but I thought it would be cool to give a preview of one of the two. This mix features Pat Buchanan on slide guitar, Brent Mason on the tele, and Buddy Hyatt on keys. I hope you enjoy!

This has always been one of my favorite Kenny Chesney tunes, I think he does a great job of painting the picture of wanting to be in that peaceful moment âsomewhere in the sunâ. I've always loved playing it live as a change up between my originals so I thought why not actually record it :)

5000 Bricks

Recently I was in Dallas, TX and had the opportunity to get to know a man by the name of Bill Rogers. Bill is a soft spoken, humble man who when you are around him makes you feel like there is something very special going on behind the quiet, calm, confident eyes looking back at you. You would never guess that you are in the presence of someone who has experienced life as a professional Olympic track and field runner in Africa, who has back to back college degrees and now works as a sports performance trainer and physical therapist here in America. What was more impressive to me than all of these accomplishments was the back story I had to drag out of him over a period of a couple of days explaining how he came to stand where he is currently and what he has chosen to do with his experience. Some of what I'm going to tell you about here is not something Bill will ever divulge or freely talk about because he doesn't view himself as different or extra ordinary but I think most of us, if faced with the obstacles and life altering challenges that were part of Bill's journey, would have to dig very deep and have some incredible faith and determination to keep our belief in humanity and then act upon that belief and choose to make a difference.

I'm going to take some of Bill's bio as it is written on his website and put it here but please keep reading past that because there is so much more to the story that I want to fill you in on.

"Born in September 1985, Bill grew up in the forested outer reaches of western coastal Liberia, Africa. Raised lovingly with four brothers and one sister by diligent, though uneducated parents, at an early age, Bill decided to strike out, learn more and see further than the meager means that were immediately available to him. At this time, the traumatic Liberian Civil War broke out, which affected Bill strongly. At age 7, his parents divorced, leaving his mother to take care of the entire family alone. As the oldest sibling, Bill began to grow into a leader at home. But to become a leader out in the world, he would have to first understand what it meant to be an integral part of a team with a collective goal in mind.

After seeing a group of professional track and field athletes run through his town, he eagerly trailed alongside them, immediately receiving encouragement from their coach to pursue athletics. In his early formative years, Bill lived with several relatives away from his brothers and sisters. At age 11, Bill entered public school for the first time. There, he soon participated in soccer, as well as track and field.
He had a lot to catch up with academically, however. Always funny and outgoing, Bill made friends with a classmate named Sayé, who provided him food and some insights about learning. Bill also worked with a study tutor named Solo who taught Bill about written language and history. While initially behind several years in school, Bill finally caught up in his late teens.

Bill's various athletic skills grew exponentially in his early teen years. He competed and placed in the World Youth Track and Field Championship in Hungary in 2001. Bill also became a double medal award-winner as an official competitor in the African Athletic Championship in Benin in early 2004. He competed and won several other track and field awards in Africa and Europe.

At age 18, Bill was chosen to train and become an official member of the Liberian Olympic track and field team in 2004. At this time, the dramatic political unrest in Liberia began to calm significantly, punctuated by the election of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and a new, peaceful leadership body. This important passage in his life, along with his success in the 35th Annual IAAF World Cross Country Running Championship in Kenya in 2007, has placed him on the forefront of Liberian athletic history.

During this time between training, Bill began to pursue another life as a sports physical therapist. He trained and became a certified athletic trainer in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2003. But Bill's vision took him further, this time to the United States. With the encouragement and help of previous Liberian Olympic track and field team member Dr. Grace-Ann Dinkins, Bill applied and was accepted to El Camino College in Torrance, California. He traveled over 7000 miles to begin his studies. Bill moved to El Paso, Texas for the following school year to study Kinesiology - Exercise Science. After winning a full athletic scholarship, Bill transferred to Huston-Tillotson University, where he eventually earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology - Human Performance as a top honor student in 2009. Bill acted as a student ambassador at Huston-Tillotson University and guided new students through their orientation and studies."Â

If this is where this story ended this would be an impressive young man, with an impressive life to this point, who has had some great accomplishments... but it's not where it ends. What is not talked about in Bill's bio is the fact that at 7 years old during the civil war he was dragged off into the forest by two men who beat him within an inch of his life, cut off two of his toes on his right foot down to the main knuckle and then "gutted" him and left him for dead.

Eventually he was found by a couple of women who were able to lift him into a wheelbarrow and rush him to the local Dr.'s office. They did not have the ability to treat his wounds so he was then taken and placed on a local bus/transport and brought to the nearest hospital where he was operated on, he was not expected to live. Bill did pull through but it was a very difficult, long, day to day fight.

After being released from the hospital Bill told me he had a decision to make, now crippled and made to feel "less than" he could have easily given in to despair and self pity and started to beg on the street or even go down the path of drugs and crime (Remember this is a 7 year old boy we are talking about). It was incredible for me to hear him describe making the decision to not give up, but not only to not give up trying to establish a reasonable life but to make the decision to become a professional track and field athlete?! When he mentions in his bio that "After seeing a group of professional track and field athletes run through his town, he eagerly trailed alongside them, immediately receiving encouragement from their coach to pursue athletics." He fails to mention that he did this with a good portion of his right foot missing and having recently recovered from a near death experience, a fact that he hid from many of his coaches and trainers for years in fear that they would not allow him to continue to compete.

Not only did he accomplish his goals but he went well beyond. The most important goal and ultimate destination for Bill, is to utilize all that he has learned and return
home to make a difference. This is why he founded the Bill Rogers Youth Foundation, an organization that seeks to ultimately transform young lives through athletic participation and achievement, as well as through fundamental schooling and life guidance. He is currently a member of the Liberian International Athletic Foundation, where he organizes, coordinates and supervises a great number and variety of sporting activities for youths in several communities throughout the U.S. Bill is poised to make a momentous return to Liberia and create a lasting impression amongst its youth and communities with the establishment of the Bill Rogers Youth Foundation.

As of today the Liberian government has given Bill the land needed to build his Youth Foundation's Home. This is designed to be a 22-bedroom, 2500 square foot youth home and learning center. The youth home will contain:Â

BRYF seeks to employ at least two voluntary peer mentors and one part-time assistant.

There are also plans for an indoor 2,500 square foot recreational and sporting center will provide Liberian youths with a fun and exciting arena to play and learn sportsmanship. BRYF also plans to develop a soccer field, outdoor basketball court, tennis court, netball and volleyball area and 6-lane running track. They are seeking to employ at least one full-time physical education teacher and one part-time assistant but will also need utilize volunteer support staff.

The next step in the journey is to raise the funds to purchase the bricks needed to begin building the actual Youth Home. As part of the overall "Brick by Brick" campaign I want to reach out to my friends and those I know to help me contribute "5000 Bricks" to this effort. I am going to donate all profits from all sales of all my music as well as any of my merchandise or affiliated products to the foundation until we reach 5000 bricks. Each brick costs $1 so put this in perspective, every download of every song from this site or from my Conquer Entertainment site at www.jmbcountry.com will purchase a brick. Every bit of profit from any piece of merchandise purchased will go to buying bricks for the foundation until we reach our goal. At the end of each week we are going to send out a "Brick Report" to let all of the supporters know how the progress is coming.

Country is a lifestyle no matter where you find yourself...

I was excited to be able to have two of my kids at one of my shows out in Kansas a few weeks back and as we were traveling home, just leaving Nashville headed to Carolina, my youngest son is riding shotgun in the truck with me when Brad Paisley's "Southern Comfort Zone" comes on, he listens for a minute... then he turns to me and says, "dad you do all those things and you ALWAYS wear a baseball hat with boots and jeans." I didn't quit smiling for a good hour. I love the country lifestyle, it's not about where you live it's about how you live. :)

It took a bath with my youngest son and I never thought it would recover but it did. It served as an convenient accidental pillow for a cute sleepy eyed girl in the back of the truck on a cross country trip. It got stomped into the dirt by âȘ#âcalamityâŹÂ and it even made it back from being knocked into the bonfire down a dirt road in Rockingham, North Carolina! Wherever you are buddy I hope she's treatin' ya right ;)

Black & Blue 2016

Wow... it's been a while. So much life has taken place. Highs and lows. Good times and bad times. Bumps and Bruises. The best part of being black and blue is it means you took the beating, you're healing up and the sun is getting ready to break through the clouds.

I'm beyond excited to be back at it working on the new Project "Black & Blue" and I can't wait to reveal some of the new material! Looking forward to an awesome 2016!

Best Wishes,

Choices
...choices, life is full of them. We are faced everyday with challenges and the the choices that come along with them and so many times we forget that making the right choice opens us up to continue making further choices and having freedom. Making the wrong choices severely limits our ability to be free and continue doing what we love. Unbroken for me represents a lot of looking back over choices I made and those that others made that effected me and had a huge impact on my ability to pursue the things that I love with music being close to the top of the list for me.

As we work through life's bumps and bruises we are most certain to make incorrect choices but it's important to not let those choices define who we are. How we deal with the hard times (self-inflicted or not) will be what defines us.

I pray that each of us will stand strong and fight and come out on the other side....UNBROKEN.

J.
